Your subscriber number appears on your mailing label (shown in a red box in the examples below).
If you subscribe to JBJS through the American office, your subscriber number will be a maximum of the first six digits on your label. Your issue label may come in one of two formats:
In the first format, your subscriber number is followed by the numeric code for the month (two digits) and year (two digits) of the issue that you have received, followed by JA and the date when your issue label was produced. For example, if the number on your label is 111111 0905 JA 09/01/05, your subscriber number is 111111 and 0905 indicates the September 2005 issue of the Journal:
In the second format, your subscriber number is followed by JA .
If you subscribe to JBJS through the British office, your mailing label will look like this. Your subscriber number for activation purposes will be made up of a maximum of eight characters: seven digits plus the letter B. In the example below, your subscriber number for activation purposes is made up of the seven digit number 1011111 + B = 1011111B. The seven–digit number is the number on your label following the product code, JBUS.
